Celebrating one year of Pingpongo in Norway, The VIP (Very Important Pingpongo) Championship, was brilliant! and confirmed why Kulturhuset i Oslo was called “The Cathedral” of Pingpongo -even in its terrace across the street-.
We all know that ping pong came from UK, and that UK is such a world obstacle. So the tournament included a “Hall of shame” with posters of tournaments and pictures of past winners. Grass under tables. White giant parasols to cover us from fog and rain. Teabags hanging over tables. World map in balloons, balls and puzzles, information about UK’s army expenses in white frames over tables and some other facts, like “Las Malvinas son Argentinas”. Masks of the Queen Elizabeth II and Union Jack flags for Semi finalists, Pimm’s fruit cups, and so on… Happy Birthday PINGPONGO NORGE!
