A Conversation About Diversity and How We Respond to It
Skeive Sørlandsdager (Queer Southern Days), FRI Agder, and Parents of Trans Youth in the South are organizing a panel discussion on diversity.
-
How do we respond to the boy in a dress in kindergarten?
-
How do we welcome the student who has changed their pronouns to “they” over the summer break?
-
Do children and young people who break norms around gender and sexuality have the same conditions for growing up as those who don’t?
-
Can access to appropriate treatment help prevent social exclusion?
The latest Ungdata (Youth Data) survey shows that LGBTQ+ youth report lower life satisfaction, less optimism about the future, more loneliness, poorer relationships, and more health issues compared to heterosexual youth.
How can we change these statistics?
Participants:
-
Marcus Elias Olsen, leader of PKI Agder
-
Tuva Langfeldt from antipodes café, publisher of the storybook «Kjolen til mamma»
-
Sandra Skjørvold Christensen, chair of the Stensveen Foundation, Safe in One’s Own Expression
