El primer n\u00famero impar oficial (15) de la nueva avenida principal del pr\u00f3ximo centro de Oslo, llamada Dronning Eufemias gate (DEG) fue elegido por antipodes caf\u00e9 y asignado por las autoridades locales para esta instalaci\u00f3n temporal y espec\u00edfica, presentada como una caseta de obra cafeter\u00eda, donde las situaciones discontinuas que exploraban la vida cotidiana, as\u00ed como el caf\u00e9, se serv\u00edan gratuitamente cada d\u00eda.<\/p>\n
A partir de este n\u00famero y su respectiva se\u00f1al, ubicaci\u00f3n, proceso constructivo, forma, materiales, colores, comunicaci\u00f3n visual, uniformes, funciones, programa de actividades espec\u00edficas -con invitados locales e internacionales- y una cantidad incontable de detalles fueron parte de estadelicada exploraci\u00f3n sobre las reglas no escritas y escritas en un borde, que en su movimiento, cual olas, define la playa.<\/p>\n
The entrance was connected with the public space<\/em> with a wooden terrace with 3 outdoor tables and chairs. People used this space\u00a0for enjoying a coffee or own lunch, books,\u00a0etc. Usually we added a wireless speaker, which in\u00a0summer shared special\u00a0playlists made\u00a0by the radio show Segundo Intento from Uruguay and by\u00a0the musician Fernando Lagreca from Spain. Closer to the cornerstone with the address sign DEG15, was a wooden billboard\u00a0including\u00a0FAQs<\/a> as well as the full calendar of activities. When antipodes caf\u00e9 DEG15 was open, we added\u00a0a two sided pavement sign. In one side a\u00a0poster highlighting that we were open, and in the other side a poster with\u00a0the\u00a0activities of the day. Both posters were regularly changed and hand made. We kept the two last ones, which where then part of the\u00a0show \u00abantipodes caf\u00e9 visits Elefante<\/a>\u00bb in Brasilia 2017.<\/p>\n Three wooden barracks (not containers), two in the ground floor and one in the top.\u00a0Made in 1996 and used since then in the area by the Norwegian public roads administration, perhaps turning antipodes caf\u00e9 DEG15 in the oldest building of\u00a0the area and the only from the previous\u00a0Century. (All buildings in Dronning Eufemias gate were open between 2001 and 2016, Operahuset is from 2008 and all buildings\u00a0in S\u00f8renga\u00a0are from after 2011)<\/p>\n One of the two windows towards the\u00a0entrance,\u00a0was a storefront one,\u00a0called \u00abUtstillingsvindu<\/em>\u00ab, where we developed diverse installations related to the current exhibition or totally independent. This window counted with lights\u00a0all around, something that gave\u00a0certain life to that \u00abdark\u00bb side of the road during 2016. The\u00a0ground floor<\/a>\u00a0of antipodes caf\u00e9 DEG15 was a semi-public space<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>with\u00a0the functions of cloakroom and small stuff storage right in the entrance, an multi-use exhibition space with a\u00a0retractable screen, a coffee corner\u00a0with bookshelf, a kitchen with a bar, and a toilet.<\/p>\n
